Is education important?

I believe it can be a good influence or a bad influence, yes, but we all need to learn what our weaknessess are so we will know how far to venture.I do not think I have contridictad myself, because no one twists anyones arm to cause them to do anything. On the other hand though we can become stumbling blocks to one another, if we misunderstand things.

Just becuse someone preaches does not mean that they have pull with God. God hears the prayers of all his people. I am sure Retired Teach can move God to answer. He seems like a good man.

You are the same person who recently replied to a post of mine stating that education wasn't all that important. Get your story straight.

No, it wasn't misunderstood. You clearly stated that you believe education is not important.

I am not denying that I wrote that. I am only saying I did not mean it to denote education, and if it appeared that way, I am sorry.

I would hope that the current Wise County School Board sees the importance of education. I see in the future two new high schools, with St. Paul and Castlewood forming some sort of union and St. Paul will be left alone. I also see Norton City Schools coming into the system. Two new schools or even 3 would be better as far as being able to offer curriculm vital to today's college entrance exams. Before anyone jumps on me for saying this, give it some time and see what is going to happen. I also believe that if the parents would let things alone that the kids would be okay with it. Just my two cents worth.

Education is a great tool, with education you question things more. I believe in God, I'm not sure on the extent of my religous beliefs however. Why? to me it's education, I believe you must be saved and that their is a hell just as their is a heaven. What I do not agree with is some of the opinions/agendas of the religous right. I dont think religon should force itself upon people and I believe thats what happens in many cases. I dont want to be told by anyone how I should think/feel on a certain subject, especially religon.
